Certainly, we all remember the controversy surrounding the group back when they first hit airwaves, but in a 2003 documentary, the two girls proclaimed that they weren’t lesbians, explaining that it was merely the group’s image.
In other words, they used the lesbian card to spark fantasy in young boys and girls’ minds and to sell records. Guess it worked.
